"This place still feels rural"

Although it was once considered a suburb, Roslindale today is very much a Boston neighborhood. It still has a suburban or almost rural feel especially since there is access to the 265 acre Arnold Arboretum and to the Stony Brook Reservation, a state park. The old colonial homes are being converted into condos and the area is vibrant with young families and professionals. The old Roslindale Square, known as The Rozzy, is a chic area for restaurants and boutiques. It’s a short hop to downtown via commuter rail so it is becoming an increasingly popular area to live and to visit.

"A clean and well put together neighborhood"

Roslindale, or Rozzie, as called by the locals is a very unique and extensively Greek neighborhood. Diversity in this area is more common than not and as a result, ethnic eateries and cultural shops are in abundance. People from all races, countries, backgrounds and social status reside in Rozzie. Located in the heart of the neighborhood is the Roslindale Square, home of the National Trust for Historic Preservation Main Street award. Yes, Rozzie’s know how to care for their neighborhood and it shows in this clean and well put together district.

Aside from the clean sidewalks and litter free streets, some of the best pizza in Boston can be found in Roslindale. At the corner of Corinth and Washington, you will find Romano’s Pizzeria and Taqueria. Yes, this pizza joint serves Mexican food as well. Shopping in Rozzie is convenient because the neighborhood is just six miles from downtown. Lots of local shops are accessible via bicycle and just a short jaunt from the Square.

"people are amazing"

It is two minutes away from the village, which i recommend highly for visitiors to boston. The village has a lot of local shops, thrift stores, resturants, parks, etc for shopping. The people that live here are wonderfully helpful, i actually got a flat tire there, and i was helped immediately. I never thought to question his generosity for a second. People here are truly genuine, and all connected to eachother. Which is a great thing, and what really establishes a real community. It is quiet, no traffic, and is completely safe and sound. I definately had a positive experience.
