"Houston Medical Center"
Located inside the 610 Loop and in central Houston, just on the border of 59 the Southwest Freeway and 288, this quaint area is home to many Houston physicians, professors, and college students.
Since the Binz area is located next to the Houston Medical Center, you will find a variety of transportation forms. From Metro Light Rail and Metro Buses to walking pedestrians and sports cars, you can rest assured this is the place for you no matter what your mode of travel. Several major roads in the area are Binz Street and Almeda road.
The Binz area may not seem as inviting as others, since it is very busy with the hustle and bustle of physicians running to the hospital and college students reaching their next class on time. The area might not be best suited for small children, since it is mostly dedicated to hard working young to middle aged adults and visiting patients. However, the Houston Medical Center has some of the most recognized physicians in the world, and if a child happens to be one that needs frequent medical attention from Texas Children’s Hospital, the parents may find themselves renting an apartment in this area. Real Estate prices for condos, apartments, and single family homes tend to be somewhat higher in this prime location.
In the Binz area you will notice a variety of restaurants, many which are open 24 hours. Rice University, Texas Southern University and University of Houston are all located in the near vicinity. The Binz area is also in close proximity to Hermann Park, the Houston Zoo, several Museums, and MacGregor Park if you are interested in the outdoors, exercising, or golfing.
