With a fun vibrant atmosphere, and plenty of places to shop or sit your tushy down, it's difficult not to enjoy this part of the city. East Congress (and Congress St itself) is a pretty long street, with plenty of sites to take in, even if the traffic gets a little dense.

Nothing to see here, move on to another street.

This street is empty, and since I'm only talking about places to visit or things to do on this street, I can't really say much of anything. It's near a memorial park, but that's actually on another street, the only reason to come here is so you can drive on by.

The street may be short, but somehow it managed to get itself squeezed between a memorial and the Tucson Children's Museum. So if you need a place where the kids can burn some sugar off, this is definitly the place. Another plus is the light traffic, quiet and somewhat safe.

This is the street to hit if your looking for some morning coffee or a quick lunch. The noise and pedestrian traffic may be a con to some, but it gives a sense of life to the street that makes it seem like a small town in and of itself.

My husband and I splurged one night and stayed at the Miraval Tucson Resort. It is found on this very quiet and private road. There is not much on this road besides scenery and the Omni Tucson National Golf Resort. Very private and a pretty drive to check out if you are in the area.

I drove down this highway in Tucson about 8 years ago while we were visiting family. The highway was horrible during rush hour and the road was a mess to drive on. Parts of it were under construction. I hope that this has changed through out the years. I have not been back since.

Very close to bars, restaurants and university. This is one of the rare places in Tucson where you can actually walk around and do fun stuff. There is a dirty side to things too though. Lots of noise between the trains, the high school and 4th avenue goings on. Lots of tweekers in the iron horse...

A nice neighborhood

Lost of families, retirees, and senior college students. The look of the area is improving with young people moving in and renovating houses. Most of the neighborhood was built in the late 40s, many houses have a lot of charm.

Traffic is low and is relatively low crime compared to most of Tucso...

There are only homes (14) on the north side of the street and only two homes fronting on the cul-de-sac at the east end. On 2 city bus lines, and one campus shuttle line. Decent eating and a grocery store within walking distance. Just watch out for the ghettobird flying overhead at night.
