"Quiet Neighborhood near Downtown"
For folks who work or just love spending time in Downtown San Diego, but desire a neighborhood feel, the area surrounding Balboa Park is ideal!
Not only does Balboa Park offer easy access to Downtown nightlife, dining and shopping; it is also just south of the sophisticated Hillcrest area, where even more dining and shopping can be found. Located near to Interstates 5 and 163, this is yet another San Diego neighborhood that leads you anywhere you want to go. Hop on the 163 North from Park Ave, Robinson or other streets, and you're less than 10 minutes from Mission Valley shopping malls; only 15-20 minutes to Mission Beach, Pacific Beach or La Jolla Shores.
Dwellings in Balboa Park are mostly condos and apartments. Homes in the area are older, but many have been remodeled over the years. This area is quaint, quiet and totally chic!

"Balboa Park of Goodness"
On my recent trip to California, I travelled down to San Diego. San Diego is known for having absolute incredible weather every day of the year. This trip was no different. It was 75 degrees every day and all day. The best part of San Diego was Balboa Park. The architecture of the park is so amazing, I could have just walked around staring all day. There is a nice Spanish feel to the place. It was great since I love the arts and there are tons of museums including the San Diego Air & Space museums, which is my favorite of the bunch. Since I booked my next trip to California, I know to spend more time in San Diego because of this place and I was only able to visit Balboa Park for one day.

Too bad you missed Spanish Village on your visit. A must if you ever come back, since you love the arts!!
