"A great family neigborhood"
Middle Village is great for families, is clean, quiet, and is pretty. Not far from the city and highways. Public transportation is fine despite what others say, you just have to take a bus to get to the subway, it's one small extra step. They also have express bus service on Eliot Avenue during the week. There isn't a ton to do in Middle Village however that is part of it's charm. We do not want more things there is enough in this city. Again, family neighborhood this is not Williamsburg. If you're someone who wants a safe, quiet, clean and family oriented neighborhood then look no further.

"Eliot Avenue,Middle Village,NY"
The area has serious issues with cleanliness. It's dirty here This is NO nice area. It's dirty, it's and unhealthy. The street ground particularly between the Lutheran Cemetery and Fresh Pond Rd are dirty, smelly, and pest infested. Rats and roaches live here along with you.
Cons
- Q38 This bus line sucks. It barely runs and when it does, its not on time
- make sure you don't have a car.
- Lack of diverse public transportation links
- Lots of cemeteries

"Typical middle class town"
Located halfway between Jamaica and Brooklyn, Middle Village is a small and quiet residential area of about 2 square miles. Most of the housing in Maspeth is in the form of small single family homes, and the residents work to limit the number of multi-family private homes in town. Having long been known as a predominantly Italian town, Middle Village has also seen and influx of Polish, Irish, and German residents. This is a really consistent town: most people stay here their whole lives, so there are families with several generations of people living here and the census reports show that the population barely changes. This is a town where the people not only know each other by name; they also know their parents' and grandparents' names. The town's strong sense of unity extends to banding together to oppose excessive development or construction; they want the town to stay the same. Most of the action in Maspeth takes place on Metropolitan Avenue. There are a lot of small family businesses but there has been an increase in the number of upscale spas, trendy restaurants, and chic bars. The school district is pretty good. There is a very good public library and a lot of parks.

Middle Village
"Not a lot going on for young people, though there are a lot of small apartment spaces"
This is a middle class neighborhood in, obviously, the middle of the borough of Queens. This is a great place for families, as there is an abundance of single-family homes in the neighborhood, and it is a quiet and safe place to raise children. The neighborhood is also home to many small apartment spaces, and some attached homes (which, if you don’t know, are just units that are attached to another one on at least one side, like a townhouse). There is only one train that comes to the area – the M – but there are several buses to make life a bit easier (that is, for residents without cars).
Middle Village
"Middle Class, Middle Village"
Middle Village is a neighborhood in west central Queens and is known as being a quiet yet bustling community. Middle Village is surrounded by neighbors such as Ridgewood to the west, Glendale to the south, Rego Park to the east, and Elmshurst to the north.
Public transportation options in the neighborhood are limited, so most of the residents drive everywhere they go. The main drag in Middle Village is Metropolitan Avenue. The street is abuzz with small mom-and-pop shops and equally small chain stores.
Most of the neighborhood’s residents are members of the NYPD and can be found living among the many row houses and multi-family homes along quiet streets. Waves of new development to the area have left no distinct look, it is general to say the least. Apartment buildings and the occasional condo are found along Metropolitan and 69th Street.
