Air Cargo Rd, Oakland Airport

Aside from being located right off of 680 (one of the worst highways to drive on - both in terms of traffic and road conditions) Oakland International Airport provides an easy access experience for Bay Area traveler with high speed and fewer waits. The first time I came here, I actually thought I was in the wrong place, because there was NO ONE at the kiosks and the only wait I had through security was my own fault for not taking my shoes off faster. Once inside, it was a bit more crowded, but I made it curbside to my gate in nine minutes - possibly a new record for any airport (excluding Norman Y Mineta San Jose Airport, which is practically inhuman in its efficiency).

Efficiency is stellar overall, with a reasonable amount of flights going out each day. The food choices are average, but this is not a one-room hangar, either. The parking prices are astoundingly cheap, and the surrounding area of gas stations, rental car companies, hotels and cheap eateries make this a very well-laid-out airport overall.
