If London has its elephants, NYC this summer has its mannequins

The real estate landscape of London this summer has been littered by the figurines of colorful elephants which have been adorned by designers,celebrities and sports persons in order to draw attention to the plight of the South Asian elephants. New York City has similarly unveiled its own exhibit of brightly colored mannequins which have been decorated by various designers and are installed between 34th Street and 42nd Street along 7th avenue which is Garment District in NYC whose survival is being threatened by escalating rents and dwindling production houses.
