Stingy Retailers
We've all heard of restaurateurs in the city who often pay their staff below minimum wage but wasn't aware that retailers in the city also squeeze their staff in the same manner. A recent news report which mentions the arrest of a city retailer was a revelation for I have actually been( albeit years ago) to the shop cited in the article.

Have any of you worked in retail in NYC ? What is it like?
when I first arrived in NYC I did try to get a management job at Macy's but was rebuffed with a note that stated that though my experience was impressive it was not quite what they were looking for -Ahem!
