"Quite possibly the smallest town in Colorado"
Paoli, Colorado is a very quiet little town off of Highway 6 in northeastern Colorado. With a population of only 34, from all records I've looked at it is the smallest town in the state of Colorado. The few people who call Paoli home are employed mainly in construction, transportation, and warehousing. The median household income here is $35,328 while the median home price is $96,5001. Both of these medians are well below state averages. The nearest big town for shopping and groceries is Sterling, which is a 45 minute drive away.
There aren't any stores or even little convenience shops here, so being prepared especially in winter would be crucial. The remoteness of this town means there are almost no jobs or anything else to keep many people here. In fact, in recent years the population has declined although it was never much larger anyway.
