This tiny neighborhood on the border of Oakland, Berkeley and Emeryville is an untapped secret. Lush old-growth yards surround beautiful victorians and craftsmen in the process of being restored. Nothing too flashy-no snobs or glossy flipped houses here-cozy established family homes is the vibe. Walkable to Bart, bordering the new Temescal creek park with a great children's' area, dog park and basketball hoop, but also separated from the craziness of the Berkeley commercial district, this neighborhood feels warm, down to earth, and friendly in general.
