"Quiet, Quaint and close to everything ..."
Bright Street is a quiet neighborhood with families with children, retirees and college students. The street itself is pretty boring (but boring is good when you are looking for peace and serenity in your home and surrounding neighborhood. Crime rate is low, but no concerted neighborhood watch (because it has a low crime rate). Nearby areas consist of SF State University, St. Emydius church, Ocean Avenue, Japanese restaurant, Whole Foods Market, Target, Starbucks, Muni access, Philz Coffee, Walgreens, Wells Fargo Bank, etc.
Pros
- Quiet
- Neighbors recognize each other
Cons
- More traffic is noted, especially on Holloway
- Parking is getting tight with an increased college student population
