"Gas Lamps and Brownstones"
From Prospect Park to 2nd Avenue, this stretch of South Slope is as good as it gets. Setps from the park, the Pavillion Theater to the east, and to the south a new Beer Hall just opened up. In between, you'll find a grade school (public) all kinds of shops and restaurants on 7th Ave. Close to 5th Ave, there are new (trendy) places but also life-savind discount shops - but is seems like this is getting gentrified more and more every day. No complaints, though. Tree-lined streets, the park. Subways near by. It's perfect.
