Hi BroncoFan!
Wow, there are tons of great kid friendly things to do. There is the Apex Recreation Center on 72nd and Alkire which has two great indoor pools, a huge skateboard/bike park outside, basketball, workout facilities, two hockey rinks and lots more.
In addition, there's a new Apex facility on 58th and Oak right among the baseball and softball fields and the soccer fields. This new facility is set up for indoor soccer so the kids can play all year long, whether it's indoors or outdoors. There are tons of parks with playground equipment and bike trails. The Ralston trail goes all the way from the Ralston Reservoir down to the Clear Creek trail in East Arvada and then continues to downtown Denver and beyond.
There's also a YMCA on 64th and Eldridge which hosts kids basketball teams, softball teams and many other kid-friendly events. The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities also has many kid events throughout the year. So, I know that there's even more but these are some of the most commonly used areas.
Let me know if you'd like to learn more.
