The weather in Atlanta is pretty ideal most of the year. In winter, the lowest temperatures usually get somewhere around the low 30s and the highest temperatures usually get somewhere around the high 80s in summer.
There is usually not much snow in the winter here, but every blue moon we might get one big "ice storm". During these rare times, the entire city shuts down because people are afraid to drive on hills with snow and ice, and the city does not react quickly to putting down salt to make the roads drivable. .Spring can get excessively rainy, so I’d say, make sure you have a nice pair of rain boots on hand. Summer is usually the best time to visit, but it can get quite humid (temperatures get well up into the high 80s and even the 90s sometimes). So, hydration and sunscreen are really important. Fall is a little weird. In Atlanta, fall is not a really distinctive season when compared with some other cities. What I mean by this is that you’ll have summer, with blazing hot days and then suddenly, one day you’ll wake up and leaves will be on the ground and it will be cold outside. It’s almost as if fall comes quickly and doesn’t hang around very long.
Oh and there is one last thing I forgot to mention, allergy season is a pretty big thing in Atlanta. I get allergies in the spring and summer and sometimes it can get a little out of control. So, be prepared. Enjoy!
