"Ault is a traditional farmtown not far from the Front Range"
Ault is about 20 miles due east of Fort Collins, a little farm town in the high plains of Colorado but not too far away so that you lose the amazing mountain views. There are only about 1,400 people that call Ault home.
Incorporated in 1904, the history of Ault has a lot to do with the railroad and farming. There is the Ault Fall Festival that still celebrates the the agricultural history of this sweet little village. You will find ranches, cowboys, applepie, a railroad and ag museum and good food and company. The average yearly income in Ault is about $35,000, about average for Colorado. When you put this average income together with the simple live, reasonably priced land and real estate in general and not too many places to spend your money--Ault makes an affordable place to live.

"A quiet little town in northeastern Colorado"
Ault is a small agricultural based town in northeastern Colorado. There are roughly 1,500 residents in this little town and although agriculture is big here, the most common industry is manufacturing, followed by construction. The median household income is $42,846 while the median home price is $147,548, both of which are lower than the state average. Although there are no real amenities here, Greeley is only a quick 16 minute drive away. In Greeley, a city with nearly 94,000 residents, there are numerous restaurants, a mall, and many other shopping options. There are also sporting events and other kinds of entertainment.
For Ault being so small, it has a rather high crime rate. From 2005-2011, more than half of those years the crime rate in Ault was well above the national average, which is pretty unusual for such a small town. Theft, burglary, and assault have all been common contributors to the problem. From 2005-2007 arson also contributed to a high crime rate.
As there aren't many businesses based out of Ault, many of the residents commute to Greeley or Fort Collins. As for students, Ault has both a junior high and high school located within the town, both of which are rated average for the state of Colorado. Elementary students travel five miles west to the town of Pierce for school.
