Also known as Balboa, the Balboa Peninsula is a neighborhood that is part of the Newport Beach City in Orange County. This region is primarily used for residential and commercial purposes. Most of the business stores are situated along the Balboa Boulevard, when they intersect with the Pacific Coast Highway, McFadden Place and Main Street. This Peninsula encloses the Newport harbor and the surrounding islands and works as a jetty in this region.
Education is provided in Balboa under the Newport Mesa Unified School District. The people of Balboa are served by the Newport Beach Public Library which is famed for their special nautical collection that talks about a community who is passionate of their nautical history. The nearest hospital for this neighborhood is the Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian.
Some historical landmarks in Balboa include the Balboa Pavilion, the Balboa Theater and the Balboa Inn. These buildings are known to have existed since 1906, and in the 1920s respectively. Balboa is also well known for their boardwalk. One could walk, bike or skate along the Balboa Boardwalk and greet Mother Nature and the astounding sights at the Newport Harbor.
