Should any parts of Bernal Heights in San Francisco be avoided more than others?

The northern end of Bernal Heights by the border with the Mission seems to get a lot more action of the negative kind than other parts of Bernal. As you probably already know, the Mission is one of the most dangerous neighborhood in San Francisco. If you are looking for somewhere to avoid I would steer clear of hanging around there.
