"A great town for everybody"
I spent 2 years here and hated to leave. The ocean just down the hill, the fishing boats in the harbor between Beverly and Salem. We have several live seafood options for home cooking, though the one just from town is closed now, along the river is another. We have accesss to the T, which is the train that goes from Rockport into Boston, with 2 stops in Beverly. One downtown and the North station off of Essex street for convience. Renatls are plenty, and with most coastal areas range from $850 to $1250, homes are plenty, and prices have come down a tad. If your into history we have several old old cemetaries that date back to the 1600's. Or you can wander near the slat marshes and watch the tides come and go every 8 hours and 20 minutes. We have convient supermarkets like market basket, CVs, and many familiar stores. Here when someone is running for office that canidate isnt behind a mike or a commercial, they are actually out on the street corners with signs and actually talk to people! Schools are pretty safe, not like the inter city ones. Its safe to walk after dark. And if your visiting keep in mind if you need to get from one street to another dont wait for an opening, just pull out and traffic will stop in both directions for you! No where else except Mass will you find that!
