Blairsville
"Blairsville- The country life without the tourism!"
Blairsville, Georgia is a little town tucked into the high, rural mountains of North Georgia. Similar in nature and beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains, without the overwhelming amounts of tourists, Blairsville is a best kept secret among those who travel north of Atlanta. The town is best known for it's beautiful waterfalls, "hole in the wall" eateries, fresh water fishing and scenery. Little to no traffic, a plethora of activities to participate in during all seasons, and plenty of campgrounds and cabins to rent. One of the highlights of this small town is the Sorghum festival every fall. Every winter, temperatures get cold enough for a light to moderate snow 7-10 times from November to February. Blairsville is also home to the highest peak in the state of Georgia: Brasstown Bald Mountain. Here, you can picnic at the top of the mountain, or hike to an observatory all the way at the top.
