New Mexico is excellent for retirees because of its mostly mild, sunny weather and natural southwest and sunsets. The cost of living is lower than the US national average and you will meet the nicest, down to earth people who are good neighbors too. Plenty of dog lovers as well and there are a number of dog parks around. I would highly recommend Las Cruces, New Mexico to be on the top choice!
