"This is a very cheap (and therefore good) neighborhood to live in"
This is a great place to buy a starter home. The houses are cheap and the location is ideal. It is close to downtown and it is surrounded by good (and cheap) restaurants. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of bars near by.
The biggest flaw is the location. The neighborhood is blocks away from a slightly unsatisfactory portion of Perrin Beitel. It's not the safest part of the city, but then it's not the worst part of the city either. It's not a place I would go walking around in after dark, but it is a place I would feel completely comfortable jogging in during the day.
Houses in this neighborhood run from ninety thousand to one hundred and ten thousand, so the value outweighs the negative aspects of the neighborhood. It's not the nicest part of San Antonio, but it's certainly not the worst either.
