What are home prices like in Castro District, San Francisco at the lower, middle and top end of the market?

Ah, home prices! As you've most likely heard, San Francisco is enjoying a booming economy, and is experiencing a housing shortage of sorts. Home prices have risen dramatically over the last two years, and the median cost of level single family home (oer SFAR/MLS, January 2014 statistics) in District 5 (Eureka Valley containing the Castro) is $1,660,000. I've helped clients find great places at a little bit lower price point, and everything above....
