I am looking at moving to south Florida

I will be working in the sunrise/plantation area. I'm trying to find a decent area to live in that is somewhat reasonable. I know that may be kind of hard to find in Florida. Commute is not a huge deal for me, I'm looking to keep it under an hour if possible. Any ideas or suggestions?
