Is Central Hyde Park safe?

Absolutely. CHP is a very active neighborhood with lots of dog walkers and joggers. There is a lot of city noise...it is close to both fire and police stations so you'll hear them pass by on the main streets. The main risk of crime is petty thefts. It is the city, so make sure you secure lawn mowers, bikes, car doors...things that can walk off if someone opportunistic happens across it.
