Are there many jobs available in the teaching industry in Chicago?

Honestly, right now is one of the hardest times for teachers in Chicago. They closed about 50 schools, and I have more than one friend from college who is struggling to find a job. You'll probably find some TA jobs available, but don't hold your breath for anything else. It's really too bad.
