Vegetarian-Friendly Cuisine in Chicago
A list of my favorite spots for vegetarian and vegan foods.
1. Chicago Diner, 3411 N Halsted
Great vegan/vegetarian foods! Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. My absolute top choice!
2. Karyn's Cooked, 738 N Wells St
Not to be confused with Karyn's Raw, which is all too pretentious for me, this vegan spot has charm and loads of delicious options.
3. El Nuevo Mexicano, 2914 North Clark Street
Maybe not solely a vegetarian joint, this Mexican place has created a vegan menu with several delicious meals, drinks, and desserts. Great service accompanies delicious food and a quaint atmosphere.
4. Heartland Cafe, 7000 North Glenwood Avenue
Charm, charm, charm! Good vegetarian food, along with many meat-lover's favorites. This restaurant focuses on creating wholesome foods everyone will love. Also, they host musical acts regularly.
5. Victory's Banner, 2100 W Roscoe St
Serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch, this is a must for vegetarians. Great atmosphere and delicious food.
