What are the best neighborhoods in Chicago?

It depends on what you're looking for. For instance, I'm a 27 year old guy, and I prefer to live in an area with a bit more to do and more younger people, while at the same time I'm not looking to do bar crawls every night. That said, I like Wicker Park, West Town and Logan Square. If you're really interested in living in the true heart of the city you might enjoy the Loop, though I don't think of that as the best area for residents. The Near North Side, Lincoln Park and Uptown are all nice areas that you'll likely enjoy as well.
