What areas are near the military bases, thinking about moving from Philly?

The closest (and only) military base in the area is Great Lakes Naval Base north of Chicago. This is where the Navy does Basic Training & Technical Training, and it has a large VA Hospital Facility. But it is 40 miles north of Chicago.
