It really depends on what you're looking for in a community. If you like the urban lifestyle, then check out Downtown or Over-the-Rhine. However, there are many neighborhoods that fall within the City of Cincinnati that offer a variety of lifestyle options. Depending on where you work, living in one of the city neighborhoods might make more sense than one of the surrounding suburbs. That being said, if you're looking for good public schools, then I recommend one of the suburbs that are part of the Cincinnati landscape. Communities like Madeira, Montgomery, Mariemont, and Mason (as well as others) all have good school districts. If you live within the City of Cincinnati, your kids will go to Cincinnati Public Schools unless you put them in a private school; while some specific schools in CPS are good, many of them are not. So, it really depends on what your priorities are as to whether city living or suburban living is the right option for you.
