Another Animal Hospital I have used that is a small drive is the Highland Heights Animal Hospital called PetWow. The do great work and they do home visits on request. http://www.petwow.com/pages/home/

My absolute best pet care experience was with a Non-Profit spay and neuter clinic located Downtown on West 8th Street. http://ucancincinnati.org/. While they aren't good for emergencies or check-ups they provide the best rates for spaying and neutering, testing and vaccinations that I have ever seen. I took a stray cat I adopted there to get neutered and I was surprised with a sale that they had going on and I got his rabies, feline distemper and his operation all for $25. On a normal day it would have cost around $45 which is still an amazing price. I'm about to take him back to update his shots as they do weekend vaccine clinics. The only setback with this place is that you select the day and they select the time you bring your cat or dog in and take them out. Which is normally 8 am in the morning when everybody is dropping off their animals. This makes for a long line and a long waiting period, but I'd say its worth the money and effort.

There are many veterinarians to choose from in the Cincinnati area, so it all depends on where you live. The vet I trust my pets with is Dr. Larry Smith of Salt Run Veterinary Clinic in Maineville. It's a little bit of a drive for me (I used to live a little closer), but I've been using him for years. The staff is so friendly and caring and they remember everyone's names. There are some good vets in the Hyde Park/Oakley area. The Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic is supposed to be good, as is the Cat Clinic of Cincinnati. Most PetsMart location have a Banfield Pet Hospital inside; you can find PetsMarts throughout the Cincinnati area.
There are also a number of mobile vet options: House Vets for House Pets, CatCalls, and Dr. Karen Kowalski are just a few. United Coalition for Animals offers a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. If you need emergency vet services, MedVet is centrally located on Redbank Expressway in the Oakley/Madisonville area or Cincinnati CARE Center is located in the Blue Ash/Sharonville area on Kemper Road.
