"Amazing nature at your doorstep"
Overall East of Biscayne Blvd. the 163 st. area is very nice. Nearby there are a lot of stores and great restaurants. However the best part is the Oleta River State Park. It spans almost the entire East side of 163 st. Its a huge park with a lot of great opportunities such as biking, hiking, fishing, and beach. Its kept very clean and has a lots of wild animals to observe. Once in the park you dont see skyscrapers, buildings, and barely hear the buisy roads nearby. Its an amazing way to get away, they even have little houses to rent if you cant get all the way down to the keys for a camping trip.
There are downsides however to this neighborhood. There isnt much pedestrian attraction. The beach is nearby but the walk there isnt very nice. The road itself is extremely buisy, and there is no shade whatsoever, also, the stores are within the parking areas, so you arent walking past them to make it an interesting walk by window shopping.
Its not the kind of place to let your kids run free as the traffic is dangerous and there are accidents almost every night.
