Is Civic Center a safe place to live in San Francisco?

Although there have not been any murders there this year--I think, this is not really a very safe area in general. There have been literally hundreds of assaults. Check out a website like www.crimemapping.com and put an address and see what you get.

That said, with common sense and a bit of luck you can usually survive without too much problem. If you stay long enough in the City though, at some point everybody's luck runs out.
