"Good for Students, kind of"
College Park is close to the University of Maryland making it an area mostly for college students. However, as someone who has lived here the past 4 years as a student, I can say there aren't many things going for the area. There are some pretty sketchy areas, traffic is awful, the area is kind of dirty/rundown, and most people in the community are quite unfriendly. The only thing going for it is the convenience to campus and some bars on Rt 1 and the easy ability to get into DC with the Metro nearby. If you don't need to live here, I wouldn't recommend it.
