First, check out the Paramount Center for the Arts in Peekskill, and see what they're offering - they often have kid-friendly performances, concerts and movies in their beautifully restored building. You can take the kids bowling at the Cortlandt Lanes, or take them to a regular movie at Cortlandt Town Center's multiplex. There's a Game Stop at the Cortlandt Town Center as well, where you can buy all the latest/vintage video games, new and used. You can tour the West Point Museum, which is not too far from Cortlandt. And as long as you're going over the Bear Mountain Bridge, check out Bear Mountain - they have a wonderful zoo, a carousel with hand-carved Hudson Valley animals, a huge pool in the summer, ice skating in the winter, and the Inn and its restaurant are newly rebuilt.
