"Business-industrial area"

This particular “neighborhood,” as mapped by StreetAdvisor, is entirely business and industrial. And we’re talking old-school industrial: concrete, bricks, and asphalt are the main “design themes” down here.

The flood in May inflicted damage on the entire area. I have not yet made it out to see how repairs are going for these business owners.

MTA bus routes #14 and #23 go up and down Dickerson Road on the eastern edge of this region.

"East Nashville and Then Some."

The area of Cumberland Northeast is well known for being the East Nashville area. Well known for its location of the LP Field, home to the Tennessee Titans and home to the Country music celebration held annually in June. The LP Field area is well kept and is busiest during the football season during home games as well as during the beginning of June when the music festival is in the area. During the other times of the year, car shows are held here and marathons.

The Cumberland River is not to far away and Dickerson road is just a hop, skip and a jump away. If you are looking for a place to do your grocery shopping, you will have a number of choices to choose from on Dickerson Road but if you are looking for some action, you will want to cross the bridge into Downtown Nashville. Before crossing the bridge, you can check out the Limelight Bar and Tavern which has well known bands performing weekly as well as everyday specials. Located across the bridge however; it is much busier. Not to far from the bridge in downtown Nashville is the Bridgestone Arena and Cadillac Jacks. Bridgestone arena has had numerous concerts held here and is home to the hockey team.

There are a number of concerts held weekly during the summer months along the Riverfront of the Cumberland River. Here is where the concerts are held daily during the CMA Music Festival and during the summer months, many free concerts are held here for a fun filled evening.

"Not known by this name"

People generally just call this area East Nashville. Once you cross the Cumberland River from downtown Nashville, you are in East Nashville. This area is bounded by the river on one side and Dickerson Rd on the other.

Cumberland Northeast is just kind of a gateway area; there really isn't much housing there. LP field iand Juvenile Court is nearby, as are businesses and restaurants, including the great Gerst Haus and the club Limelight. But you are both close to downtown (cross the bridge) and the great fun area of East Nashville proper. .The new and trendy Fifth and Main condos are in the area.
