Are there many job opportunities in Dover Plains?

Aside from any individual local businesses that are hiring, I would tend not to think so. White collar opportunities don't really exist here, as Dover Plains isn't much of a business hub, but as mentioned, there are a few local businesses. Still, I can't imagine those would offer many opportunities.

There are certainly more in the greater Poughkeepsie area, including office work, retail, restaurants, and so forth.
