"I don't really see the point..."
While the traffic on this bridge tends to be manageable at all hours of the day, and the views are quite lovely, this sort of seems like a pointless bridge, living on the southern part of the Peninsula. Sure, I'll take it if I'm driving over to Berkeley - the toll-free way - but coming back, I haven't taken it in months. There is a smell that is...interesting...and at $5 a pop each time I drive west on it, it seems a bit overpriced for my weekly climbing trips on the other side of the bay.
Circumnavigating the bay and coming back up the other side for my commute to East Palo Alto adds an extra 17 minutes to my drive, which, unless I am particularly exhausted, seems worth it.
