"An interesting landscape for fun"
Another childhood favorite that I highly recommend for families is Eisenhower Park. It is one of the most interesting parks I remember as a child. It has hills, small creeks, ponds, two playgroups and a huge lake where you can always find ducks and baby ducklings swimming and walking around the water. The park itself is fairly large and can accommodate many family gatherings but the best locations to aim for are the spots next to the running creeks. In the summertime it’s a perfect place to take the children if running around the sprinklers in the front yard or visiting the local pool is becoming too mundane. There is also a very small farm animal area where kids can see chickens, goats or sheep lounging around from time to time. There is plenty of parking provided in and around the park but it can be tricky to find some of those lots since driving in and out of small residential streets is a must. The major cross streets of Eisenhower Park are Lincoln Ave. and Tustin St. and if you’ve had enough of the recreational time out doors you can head down Tustin St. and find shopping centers you can spend some time in as well.
