Does the East Harlem neighborhood in New York City have alot of crime compared to the rest of New York City?

Compared to New York City? No. Compared to Manhattan . . . kind of. It's not the safest neighborhood in the city. It's grown a lot in the last five years but I still wouldn't live there.
