Would you recommend the Edgewater neighborhood in Chicago for families with kids?

Absolutely. Edgewater is safe, the schools are pretty darn good, and it's clean. I grew up in the suburbs and will likely raise my kids outside the city, but Edgewater would be one of my first choices for raising kids in the city.

Edgewater is a very diverse neighborhood - there are families, singles and seniors that all live within this community. It is relatively safe and you have the beach nearby - it would be a fine place for a family with kids.
