"Why I love Elk River"
When I think of Elk River, I think of an old slogan, "Elk River Where Country and City Flow Together". That really says it all to me. Located on the Mississippi and Elk Rivers, the location in superb to raise a family which is exactly what we have done. We have a small town atmosphere where people care about their neighbors and share the common good of the community. There are many activities for families of any size to be involved in from the very youngest, with ECFE, and the oldest with the Senior Center. There is something for everyone. There are many churches for all different faiths. With the location close to major highways and the NorthStar Rail available, you are just a short trip to the Metro area for all the extra shopping and attractions it offers. There is plenty of great countryside just out of the city of Elk River and plenty of outdoor activities at the lakes and parks in the area. Try snowmobiling, fishing, bird watching, 4 wheeling, canoeing, horseback riding, and my personal favorite, motorcycling, all in beautiful, natural areas. Elk River also has great restaurants and shops to enjoy. The schools are great and the teaching staff the best. Consider Elk River! It is a great place to call home.
