Are there any fun things to do with the family in Evergreen in the summer?

Many. Some center at Evergreen Lake: rent a small boat, canoe, or paddle-boat, fish, walk the path around the lake, visit the wildlife museum next to the boat rental (both open summer season only). Hike or bike at the many mountain parks, dog walk, peruse the shops in the downtown area, visit art galleries/museum, enjoy the food at a variety of restaurants. Visit the library, read a book on the history of Evergreen, drive to Mount Evans and watch for mountain goats. Watch for wildlife everywhere: elk, deer, fox, mountain lion, bobcat, numerous types of birds, etc.
