"A little less than Average for the NW side"
Fairbanks or Northwest Crossing is split between half North and half South of Hwy 290. Main streets traveled in the area include Pinemont and Hollister. Nestled between the Sam Houston Tollway and Loop 610, this area is prime for shopping, dining, entertainment, and
commuting to work. Local stores include Target, Wal-Mart, and Babies R Us. Dining can be found at local restaurants such as various Mexican spots, Red Lobster, and Fuddruckers. You will notice entertainment at the local movie theater, or your choices of sports bars. If you are interested in exercising, there are several health club options around here as well. The area is quite congested during drive time, as many traveling to their place of employment in the Houston area drive down this section of Hwy 290.
The homes and apartment complexes here are average at best. You will see some multi- family housing in need of major cosmetic repair, and others that have been built in the past few years. The same situation is with the housing in subdivisions. Some are run down shacks, while others are newer neighborhoods. The prices are very affordable based on square footage compared to other areas of Houston. Fairbanks is located in Harris County, and is fortunate to be included in the Cy-Fair ISD. Lone Star College is located nearby for those looking to further their education.
