Is Gage Park a safe place to live in Chicago?

I consider Gage Park a fairly dangerous place to live with quite a bit of crime. You won't have problems every day, but you'll have them eventually if you live here.

There are some areas of high crime in Gage Park, with some incidents of violent crime. Like most neighborhoods, you can find a safe area in Gage Park to call home, but you do have to be careful to avoid the higher crime sections.
