What's it like living in the Gage Park neighborhood of Chicago?

Not great, but not the worst place in the world. A buddy of mine lives there, and he says it's a pretty heavily Hispanic neighborhood, and as he's a Latino himself, it's not terrible, with some good restaurants and some great people, but it's also kinda dangerous, and he's had run-ins with some bad people. I think he'd like to move as soon as he can afford it.
