Living in Galewood, Chicago - what to expect, is it safe, lots to do?

As a neighborhood, Galewood is pretty safe, quiet and nice. I consider it to be reasonably clean, although it doesn't have a lot of parks or greenery, which I would prefer. It's a quiet place to live where you probably won't have a lot of problems, though you may also not have much to do. Overall it's okay though.
