What are the best neighborhoods for kids in the Chicago area?

Depends on the family, economic status and such, but check out Northside areas like Lakeview, Edgewater, Portage Park and Albany Park. They're safe and clean, with some decent parks and above average schools. Definitely good if you have little ones :-)
