How is the commute from Genessee to Denver? Tourism/ski traffic get in the way a lot?

Although I never lived in Genesee, I did live a bit farther up I-70. Genesee to Denver isn't bad except for peak travel times like when you have people coming down from skiing (Sunday afternoon/evenings) or after a long weekend camping such as the weekend of the 4th of July. Then the drive can be slow. I wouldn't hesitate to live there because of that though as it isn't all the time and you can easily figure out the busy pattern to avoid it if possible.
