"Growing college town with safe environment for families"
I have lived in Glassboro for almost 20 years and have seen many of the changes it's gone through during that time. Glassboro is home to Rowan University and a 10 minute drive from Gloucester County College in Sewell. There is also an elementary, middle, and high school all within walking distance of each other. The town has made improvements to what's available to students such as extra dorm housing, a hotel, restaurants (fast food included), food shopping and Gyms. This is more of a place for families or college students looking for a decent area to roam around, but just like any other town, you will hear of some stupid person committing a crime but not often. Glassboro is a 15 minute drive from the Deptford Mall and other great shopping stores in that area. If you're looking for nightlife there isn't much here except for the Landmark which is a local sports bar but it is frequented by the college students in the area. If you're long past college age like myself, Philadelphia is just a 20 minute ride away.
