For those who commute from Golden to the downtown Denver area how long does it take with traffic?

If you go down 6th Avenue which is probably the straightest shot, you're in for a long drive (not distance but time). I have a friend who lives on the west side of Lakewood, about 10 minutes from downtown Golden and it takes her almost an hour and you're driving into the sun the whole way - ugh!
